Thanks to everyone who attended the 2016 Conference on Acceleration in Developmental Education (CADE), held June 15-17 at the Sheraton Inner Harbor Hotel in downtown Baltimore. Thanks, also, to our illustrious and inspiring plenary speakers: Peter Adams, Professor Emeritus and Founder of ALP, and Shanna Smith Jaggars, Director of Student Success Research at Ohio State. Our gathering of more than 300 people was a testament to the acceleration efforts happening around the country which are designed to shorten the pathway to credit-level classes for developmental students in math, English, reading, and ESOL, while at the same time providing the support and encouragement to help these students persevere and attain their academic goals.
